Clifton Strengths

Gallup CliftonStrengths is an assessment tool developed by the Gallup Organization to help individuals identify their unique strengths and talents. The assessment reveals a person’s top strengths out of a list of 34 potential talents, which are grouped into four domains: Executing, Influencing, Relationship Building, and Strategic Thinking.

As a Gallup Strengths School, we focus on helping students identify and develop their unique strengths, fostering a strengths-based approach to learning and personal development. By doing so, we aim to enhance student engagement, academic success, and overall well-being. College students who leverage their CliftonStrengths gain heightened self-awareness, which can guide their academic and career choices.

Students have the opportunity to engage with CliftonStrengths at many points in their college journey. Our approach is that each opportunity can build on the prior, helping students focus on their strengths and develop self-awareness and confidence in their skills and abilities.

Building the Foundation

Exploring and Applying

With a solid foundational understanding of their Strengths, students are now prepared to learn more about how their Strengths can guide decisions about school, career, leadership, and involvement opportunities. Opportunities to explore and apply CliftonStrengths are embedded into programming across campus.

A number of staff members from the Chirico Career Center and the Office of Student Engagement and Leadership are Gallup-Certified Strengths Coaches.
